International Consultant to Develop, Pilot and Finalize a Competency-Based Safe and Inclusive Schools Teacher Training Package (Education)

What you will do

• Develop a competency-based, face-to-face teacher training programme emphasizing practical skills and peer learning.
• Create a standardized regional training package including facilitator guides and participant manuals.
• Design assessment tools, competency frameworks, and learning design documents for education professionals.
• Lead stakeholder consultations and facilitate workshops to validate training materials.
• Collaborate with Ministries of Education and regional organizations to ensure the package can be adapted locally.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or Disaster Risk Management.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in education programme design or competency-based training.
• Proven expertise in Comprehensive School Safety (CSS) and Disaster Risk Reduction in Education (DRR-E).
• Experience developing adult learning resources and leading validation processes.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience working with hirify.global, CDEMA, UNESCO, or CARICOM.
• Familiarity with education systems and policy frameworks within the Caribbean region.
• Experience integrating inclusive education, disability inclusion, and child safeguarding into teacher training.
