Junior Cybersecurity Analyst (Government)

TL;DR

Junior Cybersecurity Analyst (Cybersecurity): Support cybersecurity analysis, RMF artifact maintenance, and vulnerability tracking for federal IT infrastructure with an accent on eMASS/ITIPS updates and POA&M management. Focus on data reconciliation, drafting security documentation, and coordinating remediation status across multiple systems.

Location: Must be based onsite at Ellsworth AFB, SD, with occasional work at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio

What you will do

• Maintain cybersecurity records, supporting evidence, and update eMASS and ITIPS entries.
• Track vulnerabilities, POA&M milestones, remediation status, and closure evidence.
• Compile data for monthly enterprise vulnerability reports and POA&M status.
• Maintain system inventory, boundary, contact, and ATO-expiration data.
• Draft security-control documentation including SSPs, RARs, POA&Ms, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with system owners and engineers to reconcile technical findings against authoritative records.

Requirements

• Mandatory certifications: DoD 8570 IAM Level II and DoD 8140 work role 722-Intermediate.
• Hands-on experience with RMF documentation or continuous monitoring support.
• Proficiency in using eMASS and/or ITIPS.
• Experience with POA&M, vulnerability tracking, or artifact maintenance.
• Experience with data reconciliation and reporting across multiple systems.
• Ability to work onsite in South Dakota (Ellsworth AFB).
