What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable gRPC and REST APIs powering core insurance services.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of microservices from requirements gathering to deployment and operational support.
• Collaborate with Product and DevOps teams to translate feature requests into technical solutions.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure security compliance and regulatory standards relevant to the financial and insurance sector.
• Monitor and optimize service reliability, performance, and costs in production environments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience, with 3+ years working with Golang in production.
• Proven track record designing gRPC and REST-based APIs at scale.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Must be based in Romania.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the insurance, fintech, or broader financial services domain.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC (Terraform, Helm).
• German language skills.
