What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of security engineers, setting goals and owning the security roadmap.
• Define and maintain detection logic to identify and respond to security threats across products and assets.
• Serve as incident commander for security incidents, coordinating response and post-incident reviews.
• Scale security operations through automation and AI-assisted workflows for triage and investigation.
• Partner with Engineering, Legal, and Compliance teams to embed security into product development and AI adoption.
• Support compliance programs like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 with a pragmatic, risk-based approach.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional information security experience with a strong defensive foundation.
• 2+ years of experience managing or leading a security engineering or operations team.
• Hands-on experience with detection engineering, SIEM, incident response, and cloud security.
• Proven ability to write code and ship automation, ideally using LLMs or agents.
• Strong written communication skills for runbooks, post-mortems, and executive briefings.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with security controls in audited environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GLBA).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or GIAC.
• Offensive security experience (penetration testing, red teaming).
• Background in fintech or real estate technology.
