• Solve complex challenges for the Rancher product using mastery of Kubernetes, cloud-native, and distributed systems.
• Develop new ideas and strategies that shape the future direction of the technology and the industry.
• Provide expert-level mentoring and guidance to engineers at all levels to foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Exercise independent judgment to develop novel methods and evaluation criteria for achieving critical objectives.
• Contribute to functional policy and technical direction within your area of expertise.
• Play a key role in recruiting and supporting the development of talent within the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies.
• Substantial history of contributing innovative principles and solutions within the industry.
• Demonstrated success in complex technical projects with significant organizational impact.
• Outstanding mentorship capabilities and a passion for fostering the growth of other engineers.
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex technical visions to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent exceptional professional experience.
