What you will do

• Manage and configure HPC clusters and Linux computation servers, including performance tuning.
• Assist in resolving performance issues and designing HPC jobs.
• Install, configure, and manage Linux systems with HPC-specific software.
• Implement and maintain security configuration standards across Linux infrastructure.
• Develop automation for deployment and configuration tasks.
• Provide technical support and guidance for Linux deployments.
• Build, install, configure, and manage Linux applications from source on the cluster.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting production RHEL-like Linux servers and applications.
• General knowledge of common open-source applications (NGINX, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Git) and services (DHCP/DNS/NTP).
• 3+ years of experience with Ansible or similar configuration-as-code software.
• Comfortable configuring OS images from scratch and building software from source.
• Background in remote management of large on-prem infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills with at least B2+ English proficiency.
• Linux performance optimization skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with production AWS environments.
• Experience with HPC cluster software (Bright Cluster Manager, Univa Grid Engine, Slurm, EasyBuild, Spack).
• Proficiency in Python/R or similar scripting languages.
