Security Culture and Engagement Lead

Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home.

What you will do

• Lead and evolve the enterprise-wide Security Culture and Engagement program across cyber security, physical security, protective security, privacy, and risk.
• Design and deliver awareness campaigns, communications, events, and learning experiences that drive behaviour change and improve security outcomes.
• Apply structured change management approaches to embed secure behaviours and support adoption of security initiatives.
• Build and grow a Security Champions network across business units.
• Partner with leaders, People & Culture, Internal Communications, and security teams to create content, toolkits, resources, presentations, videos, digital campaigns, SharePoint content, and leadership communications.
• Use behavioural insights, engagement metrics, human risk indicators, and feedback to measure impact, improve campaigns, advise the business, and monitor emerging security culture practices.

Requirements

• Experience in security culture, cyber awareness, risk culture, change management, internal communications, learning, or employee engagement within a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of cyber security, risk, privacy, physical security, or resilience concepts, with the ability to translate them into meaningful behaviours for diverse audiences.
• Proven experience driving behaviour change using structured methodologies such as PROSCI, ADKAR, or similar.
• Outstanding written, visual, video, presentation, storytelling, and face-to-face communication skills.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including building trusted relationships, influencing senior leaders, and navigating challenging conversations.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with confidence to challenge existing ways of working and find better outcomes without an established playbook.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience creating and facilitating workshops, awareness events, ambassador programs, or champion networks.
• Data-driven approach to measuring effectiveness, demonstrating value, and continuously improving outcomes, plus a genuine passion for helping people make better security decisions.
