What you will do

• Develop and execute long-term power and energy strategy for the Japan market.
• Identify and secure power opportunities, including renewable energy procurement and corporate PPAs.
• Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with utilities, regulators, and government agencies.
• Oversee utility connection and energization activities for active development projects.
• Provide strategic guidance to executive leadership on energy market dynamics and risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Construction, Finance, and Sales to align energy strategy with growth goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in power markets, utilities, or energy infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of Japan's electricity market and regulatory environment.
• Proven track record in negotiating complex energy transactions and utility supply agreements.
• Ability to influence senior executives and external strategic partners.
• Business-level Japanese and English language capability strongly preferred.
• Must be based in or able to work in Tokyo, Japan.
