What you will do

• Partner with engineering teams to align HR strategy with business goals and optimize collective performance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on team dynamics, conflict resolution, and individual growth.
• Lead performance management, coaching, and career development initiatives for high-performing teams.
• Drive the hiring process via culture interviews to ensure candidates align with company values and standards.
• Identify and resolve organizational inefficiencies through "organizational debugging."
• Manage complex employee relations issues and ensure legal compliance with fairness and transparency.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the San Francisco or San Jose offices 4 days per week.
• Minimum of 5+ years of HRBP experience, with 3+ years specifically supporting high-performing engineering teams.
• Extremely high emotional intelligence (EQ) to coach leaders and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics.
• Ability to balance high-level strategic initiatives with hands-on daily HR operations.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the courage to challenge the status quo to drive excellence.
• Proven ability to diagnose organizational issues and provide pragmatic, scalable solutions.
