AI/ML Engineer (MLOps)

What you will do

• Design and maintain AI/ML services and lifecycle capabilities supporting defense missions.
• Develop automated pipelines for model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Build scalable model-serving capabilities for batch or real-time inference.
• Implement MLOps practices using CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with data engineers and cybersecurity teams to operationalize secure models.
• Optimize AI/ML infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and active DoW Secret (or higher) clearance.
• 4+ years of AI/ML engineering, software engineering, or data science experience.
• Proficiency with Python and commonly used AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proven experience building automated MLOps pipelines and deploying production-grade systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS SageMaker or comparable cloud AI/ML platforms.
• Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, Argo Workflows, or Ray.
• Familiarity with LLMs, Generative AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Professional certifications such as Security+, CCSP, CFR, or GSEC.
• Previous experience supporting DoW or other federal enterprise data platforms.
