What you will do

• Define the technical vision and roadmap for Feed Ecosystems to support sustainable growth and high-quality discovery.
• Coach and develop a team of machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and impact.
• Partner with product, design, data science, and safety teams to align ML investments with business and community goals.
• Oversee the design and optimization of ML systems for cold-start relevance, content distribution, and feed quality.
• Operationalize signals for subjective and objective quality to ensure systems optimize for user value and community health.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to build scalable AI-powered systems that support personalization across the platform.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 2+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing ML or recommender-systems teams.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale production ML systems, including personalization, cold-start modeling, or LLM-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of recommender systems, including candidate retrieval, ranking, and ecosystem dynamics.
• Ability to communicate complex technical strategies across ambiguous problem spaces.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset for cross-functional partnership.
