TL;DR
Senior Unix / Linux Infrastructure Engineer (Fintech): Improving enterprise server support and optimizing infrastructure performance for a leading Nordic financial group with an accent on RHEL/Unix environments and GCP cloud operations. Focus on reducing major incidents, automating configuration via Ansible and Terraform, and optimizing cloud costs using FinOps.
Location: Hybrid from Warszawa (2/3 days per week from the office)
Salary: 750 - 950 PLN/day on B2B

What you will do
- Collaborate with Server Engineering teams on governance, security, architecture, and design initiatives.
- Work with external support providers to manage daily server operations.
- Identify and reduce the frequency and duration of major incidents across server environments.
- Optimize infrastructure resources, including servers, licenses, and operational workloads.
- Improve support processes for IT operations and development teams.
- Drive the strategic direction and future of the server infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing large-scale RHEL/Unix environments.
- Hands-on proficiency with RedHat Satellite and platform management tools.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud compute operations.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in incident handling and daily server operations.
- English: B2 level required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Solaris, AIX, or IBMi systems.
- VMware environment support experience.
- Background working within financial institutions or highly regulated environments.
