Location: Must be based in or able to commute to San Jose or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 4 days per week in-office)

Compensation: $184,000 – $245,000

What you will do

• Plan and execute SOX testing for ITGCs, automated controls, and key reports.
• Conduct walkthroughs and design effectiveness testing for homegrown and SaaS applications.
• Review testing work performed by junior team members or co-sourced resources.
• Identify control deficiencies, evaluate root causes, and validate remediation efforts.
• Advise engineering and IT stakeholders on risk management and control optimization.
• Prepare clear workpapers and status updates for senior leadership and Audit Committee reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT audit, IT risk, or IT SOX compliance.
• Must be able to work from the San Jose or San Francisco office 4 days per week.
• Deep expertise in ITGCs, ICFR, and IIA standards.
• Experience leading audits of homegrown business systems and third-party SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Accounting.
• CISA certification strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analytics tools like SQL, Python, or Power BI.
• Prior experience in a fast-growth or pre-IPO organization.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or COBIT.
• Experience auditing CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based change management.
