What you will do

• Evolve and maintain existing Modeling & Simulation frameworks like AFSIM.
• Incorporate new scenarios and models into the simulation codebase.
• Perform rigorous testing and verification of simulation outputs.
• Collaborate with software engineers and analysts on complex defense projects.
• Utilize modern Agile software development practices in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• US citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as git, Bitbucket, or Jenkins.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing software for Linux platforms.
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools like AFSIM, NGTS, or ITASE.
• Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker or WSL2.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design patterns.
• Familiarity with DoD security practices.
