TL;DR
Lead Data Engineer (Data Vault): Designing and maintaining robust end-to-end data pipelines for the Procurement domain with an accent on Data Vault 2.0 architecture and CI/CD automation. What you will do
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- Develop modular transformation frameworks using dbt, PySpark, and SQL aligned with Data Vault 2.0.
- Build and maintain CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Manage Infrastructure-as-Code and deployment automation for data platform resources.
- Establish proactive monitoring, observability, and operational excellence for platform reliability.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and collaborate across functions to deliver data solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
- Strong expertise in dbt, SQL, Python, PySpark, Databricks, and Git.
- Deep experience with CI/CD, automation, and repository management in Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Extensive knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 architecture.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and engage stakeholders across diverse functions.
- Must be based in or able to work from Barcelona, Spain.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Exposure to scientific datasets such as cheminformatics, bioinformatics, or microbiome data.
