What you will do

• Optimize image quality using exposure and focus algorithms, noise filtering, white balance, and color-calibration.
• Select appropriate optics and image sensors in collaboration with electronics, mechanics teams, and external partners.
• Conduct testing of cameras, optics, and sensors in both lab settings and real-world indoor/outdoor environments.
• Develop hardware prototypes for image optimization in cooperation with electronics and mechanics engineers.
• Contribute to the development of camera firmware.
• Develop and improve production tests and calibration systems for image quality assurance.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of optics, image sensors, IR filters, and IR diodes.
• Proficiency in C and/or C++.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Experience developing software within a Linux environment.
• Strong understanding of image processing algorithms, advanced mathematics, and statistics.
