What you will do

• Improve core developer workflows for compiling, testing, packaging, and validating changes.
• Develop shared engineering foundations, including common libraries, frameworks, and build patterns.
• Optimize CI pipelines to increase speed and reliability while preserving release confidence.
• Transform recurring developer pain points into durable tools, automation, and platform improvements.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows using tools like Cursor and Claude to accelerate platform work.
• Collaborate with service teams to support adoption and refine the paved path for development.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or another production language.
• Experience with build systems, dependency management, or CI (e.g., Bazel, SBT, Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions).
• Ability to debug complex build and developer workflow failures.
• Product-minded approach to developer experience (DevEx).
• Comfort using AI tools (Cursor, Claude, etc.) for codebase exploration and automation.
• Must be based in or able to work in Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid).
