hirify.global is recruiting on behalf of a partner VFX studio specializing in high-end assets for film and television.

What you will do

• Create high-resolution hard surface models, including environments, vehicles, and props, from photographic references and scans.
• Develop UV layouts, texture maps, and look development elements to achieve realistic visual results.
• Perform cleaning, refining, and retopology of models to fit production workflows.
• Collaborate with asset, CG, and VFX teams to ensure assets integrate smoothly into the pipeline.
• Apply industry best practices to solve complex technical and creative challenges independently.

Requirements

• Professional experience in film and television visual effects production.
• Strong portfolio/demo reel showcasing wireframes, UV layouts, and completed assets.
• Proficiency with Maya and ZBrush or Mari.
• Advanced skills in retopology, UV mapping, and physically based texturing (PBR) workflows.
• Must reside in British Columbia, Canada.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of V-Ray.
• Experience with Houdini, Marvelous Designer, or Substance Painter.
