What you will do

• Design and build test automation frameworks, including the migration from Cypress to Playwright.
• Develop test infrastructure, release orchestration tooling, and performance testing systems as production-grade software.
• Own core infrastructure including test environment provisioning, parallelization, and CI/CD execution at scale.
• Define automation strategies across the testing pyramid (unit, integration, API, and E2E) to optimize speed and reliability.
• Build observability into test frameworks to track flakiness, execution time, and failure patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish high quality standards across the engineering team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building test infrastructure, developer tooling, or release engineering systems.
• Strong programming ability in JavaScript/TypeScript for building backend services and tooling.
• Experience building or scaling CI/CD systems and release orchestration pipelines at a systems level.
• Deep understanding of the testing pyramid and the ability to choose the right tooling for each layer.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in the quality workflow for test generation and flaky-test triage.
• Must be based in the USA to align with company benefits and office locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with MongoDB, Kubernetes, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Datadog or equivalent observability tooling.
• Experience with performance testing frameworks like Locust, Gatling, JMeter, or k6.
