TL;DR
Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (AI): Building automated test frameworks, API-level acceptance tests, and cloud-based test infrastructure for highly scalable microservices with an accent on AWS, continuous delivery, and service resiliency. Focus on designing performance and load testing, diagnosing functional and scalability issues, and improving observability through metrics, traces, and logs.
Location: Hungary-based, with options for long-term remote work, office-based work in Budapest, or a mix of both

What you will do
- Lead the design and development of automated test frameworks and cloud-based test infrastructure.
- Write API-level automated functional acceptance tests and maintain test jobs in continuous delivery pipelines.
- Perform exploratory, performance, and load testing to validate functional integrity, usability, scalability, and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams on service resiliency, observability, and feature delivery using Scrum.
- Conduct root cause analysis for functional, performance, and scalability issues and contribute code-based solutions.
- Champion observability through application metrics, traces, and logs, while improving services and participating in code reviews.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Software Development in Test.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery systems such as Jenkins or similar tools.
- Experience with API test automation frameworks and a basic understanding of backend microservices, REST, asynchronous messaging, and NoSQL solutions.
- Experience with Agile software development, a DevOps mindset, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
