Applied AI Engineer

Location: Worldwide; remote work within time zones from GMT-2 to GMT+5

What you will do

• Build AI-powered products from the ground up, including assistants, chatbots, copilots, and internal automation.
• Develop and own LLM pipelines end to end, covering model selection, retrieval, prompting, release, and production monitoring.
• Improve model quality through retrieval, prompting, fine-tuning, and task-specific model selection.
• Design evaluation methodologies using representative task sets, automated graders, production signals, and human review.
• Build data loops, run experiments and A/B tests, and investigate production issues.
• Partner with backend engineers, product teams, and business owners to ship scalable AI improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in a machine learning role.
• Experience with agent frameworks or tool-using LLM systems.
• Experience designing evaluations for LLM systems.
• Experience developing and launching AI products or features from scratch as an AI, ML, or data science engineer.
• Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, ownership, and the ability to productionize research.
• English at B1 level or above required for communication with an international team.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Scientific publications in machine learning, NLP, or a related field.
• Medals from mathematics, physics, or programming olympiads.
