What you will do

• Design and build analytical tools to improve pricing accuracy and client-facing outputs.
• Serve as a strategic advisor providing deep actuarial insight into portfolio performance and risk dynamics.
• Develop bespoke reinsurance programs focused on risk mitigation, capital relief, and volatility management.
• Price treaty reinsurance across various perils and lines using exposure data and catastrophe models.
• Partner with brokers to craft analytical placement narratives and support reinsurer engagement.
• Mentor junior analysts and actuarial trainees to ensure delivery excellence.

Requirements

• Fully qualified actuary (ACAS, FCAS) with significant post-qualification experience in reinsurance or insurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Deep understanding of treaty reinsurance pricing approaches and portfolio analytics.
• Experience across multiple lines of business such as Property, Casualty, Marine, Cyber, or Credit.
• Familiarity with catastrophe model interpretation and reinsurance structuring.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex concepts to senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of coding languages like Python.
• Experience with data visualisation platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of stochastic RI pricing tools and Igloo.
• Understanding of emerging technologies including AI and Data Science.
