TL;DR
DevSecOps Engineer (DevSecOps/Cloud): Designing and developing a robust runtime platform for the 9LV Combat Management System with an accent on scalability, reliability, and seamless integration. Focus on implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring security compliance within a naval command and control environment.
Location: Adelaide or Melbourne, Australia. Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (preferably NV1 level).

What you will do
- Design and develop a robust runtime platform supporting the 9LV Combat Management System (CMS) within the EdgeRunner project.
- Implement CI/CD solutions and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Build and deploy containerised applications and manage Linux-based open-source applications and tools.
- Utilize monitoring and analytic tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for incident response.
- (Senior) Act as Product Owner for DevSecOps activities and lead the technical direction and architectural guidance of the team.
- (Senior) Mentor and coach team members to ensure implementation is consistent with DevSecOps practices and architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud, zero trust architecture, and messaging bus architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD concepts, IaC, containerisation, and configuration tools like Ansible.
- Experience with Linux, open-source tools management, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Experience with Agile principles, practices, and processes.
- Experience analysing and implementing ASD ISM controls.
