Location: Hybrid - Must be based in the Netherlands and able to work from the Almere office 2 days a week

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain a modern AWS-based cloud platform for an EdTech client.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK with Python.
• Set up and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native and Git-based tools.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, logging, and tracing through CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure platform security and compliance.
• Lead the migration of infrastructure from on-premises environments to AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary cloud platform.
• Practical experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with containerized environments, specifically ECS Fargate.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM and Zero Trust.
• Good working knowledge of Linux systems.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with hybrid setups (on-premises and cloud).
• Proven track record in AWS cost optimization.
• Experience contributing to internal developer platforms.
