TL;DR

AI Engineer (Computer Vision & Robotics): Designing and optimizing ML models for computer vision and robotics under tight compute and memory budgets with an accent on model compression and edge deployment. Focus on building robust training pipelines, accelerating inference on embedded accelerators, and ensuring low-latency performance.

Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, MA (Must be authorized to work in the US)

What you will do

  • Design and optimize ML models for computer vision and robotics for constrained compute and memory environments.
  • Build robust training and fine-tuning pipelines for large-scale datasets.
  • Compress, accelerate, and deploy models using quantization and distillation for NPU, TPU, and GPU delegates.
  • Profile and tune on-device inference pipelines to maximize latency, throughput, and accuracy.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python and C++.
  • Research and implement state-of-the-art ML techniques for efficient edge deployment in autonomy and perception.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience applying ML to computer vision and/or robotics.
  • Proficiency with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and C++.
  • Experience deploying ML models and building training pipelines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and may be subject to a government security clearance process.

Nice to have

  • CUDA kernel development and model optimization (quantization, pruning, distillation).
  • Experience with ONNX, TensorRT, or OpenVINO for deployment.
  • Experience with robotics middleware (ROS2).
  • Knowledge of SLAM, 3D perception, or sensor fusion (LiDAR, IMU).
  • Experience building real-time or low-latency inference pipelines.
