What you will do

• Develop structural finite-element models for Li-ion battery cells, modules, pack assemblies, and associated components.
• Perform meshing on complex 3D CAD designs and execute thermo-mechanical simulations for shock, vibration, crash, and durability.
• Build surrogate and reduced-order models from full-order FE models to accelerate design exploration.
• Validate simulation models against physical test results and document correlation confidence levels.
• Collaborate with product design engineers to support thermo-mechanical design optimization throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead technical investigations, perform diagnostic analyses, and contribute to intellectual property development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in structural and thermal modeling, FEA, and model validation.
• Proficiency in CAD, meshing, numerical methods, and model order reduction techniques.
• Proficiency in scientific coding, specifically Python and/or Matlab.
• Experience with simulation tools such as 3DEXPERIENCE, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, or equivalent.
• English: Proficiency required.

• Proficiency in French.
