TL;DR
Software Engineer (Software Architecture/CI/CD): Designing, coding, testing, and refactoring moderately complex software applications and components with an accent on security, quality assurance, and release coordination. Focus on creating multiple design views, solving software development issues, and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
Location: Christchurch, New Zealand; hybrid office-based work with attendance at the Christchurch office three days per week

What you will do
- Design moderately complex software applications, components, user interfaces, and system interfaces.
- Create design views covering stakeholder concerns, functional and non-functional requirements, and security.
- Code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor software programs and scripts.
- Apply engineering standards, development tools, design patterns, and security measures.
- Monitor development progress, resolve issues, and support release planning, scheduling, coordination, and reporting.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 4+ years of experience in relevant software engineering roles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to independently plan work, resolve moderately complex issues, meet deadlines, and make practical decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with colleagues, customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
