Advanced UX Insight Designer (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Warren, Michigan, United States; full-time presence at the designated location is required. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Research societal, technological, economic, policy, and sustainability trends shaping mobility.
• Identify disruptors that could change vehicle transportation and the broader mobility ecosystem.
• Develop future-facing vehicle and mobility experience visions, including customer value propositions, vehicle attributes, hardware and software features, and technical requirements.
• Design advanced in-vehicle UX concepts using storyboards, narrative flows, visual directions, and user journeys.
• Create and guide the development of 2D illustrations, UI explorations, 3D digital models, layouts, sketches, motion graphics, and animations.
• Present concepts and collaborate with design, research, engineering, product, and supplier teams to influence future product and service decisions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional experience in industrial design, transportation design, UX design, human interface design, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability in 2D sketching and rendering, 3D conceptual modeling, animation, and presentation visualization.
• A curated portfolio showing customer-centered solutions, original concepts, and consideration of physical and digital interactions across the vehicle ecosystem.
• Ability to communicate design concepts through varied design, visualization, animation, and presentation methods.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support.

Nice to have

• Automotive industrial design experience and proficiency with Alias or Blender.
• Concept animation experience with VRED, Blender, Twinmotion, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, VIZCOM, or KeyShot.
• PowerPoint proficiency for creating clear, editable presentations that communicate complex design narratives.
