What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow engineering teams and managers to deliver high-impact features and platform reliability improvements.
• Set technical strategy and execution plans to maximize velocity, customer value, and operational stability.
• Define and track KPIs (latency, uptime, MTTR) to own delivery quality and meet SLAs.
• Drive architecture tradeoffs for scalability, security, and observability in a cloud-native environment.
• Recruit and retain top engineering talent, establishing scalable hiring and onboarding processes.
• Partner cross-functionally to launch AI-enabled tools responsibly, focusing on data quality and model lifecycles.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Copenhagen, Denmark to support a hybrid work model.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a people-management role.
• Proven track record of building and operating large-scale distributed SaaS cloud services.
• Practical AI literacy: ability to evaluate AI/ML product value and integrate AI tools into workflows.
• Strong experience in hiring, coaching, and scaling engineering organizations.
• Proficiency in modern engineering practices: microservices, CI/CD, and observability.

Nice to have

• Experience leading managers (managing managers of managers).
• Experience with Ruby at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with MLOps, ML model lifecycles, and productizing ML features.
• Experience working in high-compliance environments (SOC2, GDPR).
