What you will do

• Design and operate critical reliability and infrastructure services across AWS, GCP, Azure, and hybrid/on-premises environments.
• Improve error attribution and alert routing to ensure engineers are only on-call for services they own.
• Develop observability patterns, SLI/SLO frameworks, and dashboards for full-lifecycle visibility from code change to production.
• Build release-safety systems, including canary deployments, smoke tests, staged rollouts, and reliable rollback mechanisms.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, driving manual operations toward automated infrastructure-as-code.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to influence the platform's broader technical direction.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and operating critical production infrastructure in a large enterprise environment.
• Expertise in at least one major public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and real-world experience with on-premises or hybrid environments.
• Strong skills in infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or Ansible).
• Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and containerized workloads in production.
• Proficiency in a systems/scripting language such as Go, Python, or Bash for building automation tooling.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with U.S. Government export regulations

Nice to have

• Experience building and operating SaaS products or developer-productivity platforms (e.g., Backstage, PagerDuty tooling).
• Experience operating stateful systems and databases in production (PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse).
• Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Architect.
• Familiarity with security and access-management best practices in hybrid environments.
