What you will do
- Design and evolve scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate feedback cycles.
- Leverage AI-powered testing solutions to improve test generation and maintenance.
- Lead cross-team quality initiatives and promote engineering best practices.
- Mentor and coach Quality Engineers and SDETs through technical guidance and code reviews.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to improve application testability and reliability.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada and legally authorized to work in Canada.
- 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering with extensive test automation expertise.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep expertise with modern automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive technical initiatives across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or Ruby/Rails.
- Experience testing AI-enabled applications or LLM-based systems.
- Contributions to open-source testing tools or technical blogs.
- Experience in high-growth SaaS or fintech environments.
