What you will do

• Lead reporting on credit markets, covering private credit, leveraged finance, distressed debt, and restructuring.
• Cultivate and maintain a wide network of contacts across banks, private credit funds, law firms, and advisers.
• Deliver exclusive, market-moving stories that set the agenda in business journalism.
• Analyze and report on the rise of direct lenders, alternative credit providers, and emerging credit risks.
• Contribute regularly to the Due Diligence newsletter and participate in industry conferences.
• Collaborate with global teams covering corporate finance, dealmaking, and financial services.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a reporter with a strong ability to break exclusive stories.
• Deep understanding of credit markets, leveraged buyouts, and syndicated loan markets.
• Exceptional networking skills and ability to build relationships with high-level financial sources.
• Must be based in London and able to work from the office at least three days per week.
• Ability to produce high-quality, accurate, and insightful journalism under tight deadlines.
