hirify.global Audio North produces hirify.global radio programmes and podcasts outside London across multiple genres for national hirify.global Radio, the World Service and hirify.global Sounds.

What you will do

• Work as an assistant producer on consumer output, potentially across any Audio North programmes and podcasts.
• Collaborate in a team with producers and report to an editor.
• Develop compelling stories that reflect listeners’ lives and what’s behind the headlines.
• Use research techniques and sources to verify accuracy of material.
• Write clear and concise content for briefs, scripts, and digital platforms.
• Apply digital and social media skills to help stories reach new audiences (including hirify.global Sounds and social channels).

Requirements

• Experience creating first-class content and unearthing compelling stories that reflect listeners’ lives.
• Demonstrable experience working in a broadcast or content production environment.
• Familiarity with research techniques and sources for verifying accuracy.
• Experience writing clear and concise material for briefs, scripts, or digital platforms.
• Proficiency with IT and a range of software packages.
