Standard Cell Library Design Engineer

Standard Cell Library Design Engineer (VLSI): Designing, developing, verifying, and delivering corporate standard cell libraries for leading-edge process technologies with an accent on combinational/sequential/power-management circuit design, parasitic extraction optimization, and automation for library modeling and validation. Focus on building, validating, releasing, and supporting standard cell libraries for hirify.global SoC teams and hirify.global Foundry customer design projects.

What you will do

• Design and implement combinational, sequential, and power-management circuits for hirify.global’s latest process technologies.
• Run parasitic extraction and optimization to improve power, performance, robustness, and density.
• Develop automation flows for library modeling, validation, quality checking, and performance/reliability verification.
• Characterize libraries for timing, noise, power, and variation, and generate front-end and back-end models.
• Build, validate, release, and support standard cell libraries for hirify.global product teams and hirify.global Foundry customer projects.

Requirements

• Fresh graduate or less than 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Microelectronics, or a closely related field.
• Experience in digital circuit design, including CMOS combinational logic and sequential element design and layout.
• Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for areas such as circuit simulation, cell characterization, logic synthesis, place-and-route, physical design verification, and/or reliability verification.
• Scripting experience for design automation using one or more of: TCL, Perl, Python, csh (or similar).
• Experience working in a Linux environment and familiarity with common Linux-based development tools.
