Security Analyst II

TL;DR

Security Analyst II (MDR/SOC): Monitoring, investigating, and responding to advanced cybersecurity threats in a Managed Detection & Response environment with an accent on incident investigations, threat hunting, and malware analysis. Focus on using Splunk SIEM and EDR tools to contain threats, improve detection logic, and support vulnerability and exposure analysis.

Location: Must be located in NW Arkansas (in-office hybrid)

What you will do

• Monitor and investigate security alerts and events across enterprise environments.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify malicious behavior and vulnerabilities.
• Support incident response: assessment, containment, investigation, and remediation.
• Analyze logs and detections using Splunk SIEM.
• Work with EDR/security tools (CrowdStrike, Cisco AMP, Trend Micro, Microsoft Defender) and investigate endpoint threats, malware, and phishing.
• Assist with vulnerability management and exposure analysis; document findings and improve detection logic and security operations.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, or Security Analyst role.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk SIEM.
• Experience with CrowdStrike, Cisco AMP, Trend Micro, or similar EDR/security tools.
• Experience investigating security incidents and performing threat analysis.
• Understanding of vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, malware analysis, and attack detection techniques.
