The Exploration Company develops, produces, and operates Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo and potentially human transport.

What you will do

• Improve and expand internal LCA tools by refactoring Python scripts for better modularity and robustness.
• Integrate AI agents into ecodesign and LCA workflows.
• Execute Life Cycle Assessments on active projects, products, and components.
• Identify and quantify environmental footprints across materials, manufacturing, and operations.
• Develop and document internal LCA methodologies to ensure consistent and reliable assessments.
• Translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Current Bachelor's or Master's student in Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Sustainability.
• Proficient Python skills with a focus on clean, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Ecodesign principles.
• Must be able to work onsite in Munich, Germany.
• Analytical mindset and ability to work with imperfect data.

Nice to have

• Prior hands-on or academic experience with LCA tools.
• Background in material science, space systems engineering, or product design.
• Knowledge of AI or Machine Learning applied to data challenges.
