What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails.
• Own the delivery of backend functionality to improve platform reliability and performance.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for frontend and external service integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and product owners.
• Ensure high code quality through automated testing and peer reviews.
• Optimize database interactions and application performance for enterprise-scale requirements.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ukraine.
• Strong commercial experience in Ruby and Ruby on Rails development.
• Proven experience leading internal engineering teams.
• Solid expertise in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software development practices.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Scala.
• Knowledge of React.
