Senior Java/Kotlin Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-performance backend components within cloud-based microservice architectures.
• Participate in architectural decision-making, code reviews, and feature design documentation.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PMs, Architects, and QA, in an Agile environment.
• Ensure high coding standards and performant code throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Proactively contribute to process improvements and solution development.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ukraine.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years in Java.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin, Spring Boot, and reactive programming.
• Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including OOP, SOLID, DDD, and TDD.
• Practical experience with AWS (Lambda, Aurora, Step Functions) and Node.js/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in RDBMS, NoSQL, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or fluent required.

Nice to have

• Certifications in Java, Spring, or Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and deployment patterns.
• Knowledge of provisioning tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with search engines like ElasticSearch or Solr.
