What you will do

• Collaborate with ASIC design engineers to develop secure and efficient boot solutions.
• Write and maintain robust, secure, reliable embedded code.
• Design, implement, and use test environments to validate boot and security components.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to ensure solution quality and feasibility.
• Work mainly on BootROM and boot loader software, secure boot across all boot stages, and firmware for subsystems with their own CPU core.
• Develop and maintain pre-silicon development/validation environments (e.g., QEMU).

Requirements

• At least 5 years of embedded systems development experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in embedded C development, close to hardware.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with secure development and testing practices.
• Familiarity with version control and code review tools (preferably Git and Gerrit).
• Office-based role located in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience developing BootROMs and first-stage bootloaders.
• Experience with ARM architectures and platforms.
• Experience with RTL simulation and related tools to verify BootROM functionality before silicon is available.
• Experience using QEMU to build or maintain system simulation environments.
• Basic understanding of how ASIC functional blocks are designed.
• Experience with Python and Rust; experience evaluating countermeasures against fault-injection attacks during boot.
