What you will do

• Lead the EMEA accounting function, setting strategic priorities, policies, and processes for the region.
• Manage a multi-disciplinary team responsible for general ledger, accounts payable, and cash management.
• Coordinate statutory financial statement audits across all EMEA jurisdictions in accordance with local GAAP/IFRS.
• Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial results and maintaining strong internal controls.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, and Treasury on regional reporting, compliance, and liquidity planning.
• Drive efficiency by utilizing AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline routine accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-country or shared-services EMEA environment.
• Bulgarian Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (ICPA Bulgaria / ИДЕС), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
• Proven experience in people management and building high-performing accounting teams.
• Strong working knowledge of statutory reporting and local GAAP/IFRS across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• English: C1 level proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Big 4 public accounting or audit experience.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience with US-based group audits.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
