What you will do

• Design and vet ELD scopes, sequences, and grade-appropriate texts for secondary students.
• Author prototype lessons, student activities, and scaffolds that model rigorous instruction.
• Develop formative and summative assessments aligned with state ELD standards.
• Iterate on AI prompts to scale high-quality content production.
• Review external contributor work to ensure pedagogical fidelity and engagement.
• Collaborate with ELA and product teams to integrate ELD supports into platform experiences.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in K-12 curriculum development or instructional design.
• Deep expertise in multilingual learner pedagogy, second language acquisition, and ELD standards (e.g., WIDA, ELPAC).
• Strong English writing and editing skills.
• Comfort and fluency with AI tools for content development.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in TESOL, ESL, or Curriculum & Instruction.
• Prior classroom teaching experience with multilingual learners.
• Experience managing or mentoring contributors and freelancers.
• Familiarity with digital content authoring tools and CMS.
