QA Lead

TL;DR

QA Lead: Ensuring frontend quality and release readiness for a React-based platform with an accent on CI/CD compliance, security scanning, and defect triage across SIT, UAT, and post-launch hypercare. Focus on maintaining production-ready standards, aligning testing and quality gates with security requirements, and supporting stakeholder demos on a tight sprint cadence.

Location: Remote (work-from-home); commute to client offices in Falls Church, VA as needed (estimated every 2 weeks)

What you will do

• Own quality and compliance for frontend delivery, including CI/CD pipeline compliance and security-gated build processes.
• Ensure all frontend commits pass Veracode SAST + SCA security scanning prior to merging.
• Resolve and triage frontend defects during SIT, UAT, and post-launch hypercare within agreed SLA windows.
• Support sprint delivery by ensuring work is demo-ready for bi-weekly stakeholder demos.
• Coordinate with engineering and client stakeholders to conduct knowledge transfer ahead of support handoff.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of front-end development experience, including at least 4 years focused on React (functional components, hooks, context API, performance optimization).
• Experience leading or directing offshore front-end engineering teams.
• Experience working from Figma wireframes and collaborating closely with UX/UI designers.
• Experience with automated UI testing frameworks such as Storybook and Playwright (or similar).
• Familiarity with RBAC patterns and SSO integration (Azure Entra ID / OAuth 2.0 preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to lead sprint demos and articulate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
