What you will do

• Maintain and extend the existing FPGA code base for SDR and SDN systems.
• Design custom IP blocks for next-generation satellite and earth station features.
• Implement support for various communication interfaces including SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Integrate high-speed FPGA interfaces such as JESD204b, 10G Ethernet, and Aurora.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to test and validate hardware designs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian undergraduate program in Electrical or Computer Engineering and returning to studies post-internship.
• Available for a full-time 4–16 month internship starting January 2027.
• Proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Ability to work from the Toronto office 2–3 days per week.
• At least 2 years of completed coursework in an engineering degree program.

Nice to have

• Experience with DSP algorithms.
• Strong skills in C++ and embedded programming.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Tcl.
• Practical experience from university design teams or personal projects.
