PaperStreet is looking for a full-time or part-time developer to help us build, improve, and maintain internal AI tools, automations, integrations, and reporting systems.

This is a practical development role focused on using existing AI platforms and APIs to solve business problems. We are not looking for someone to build or train large language models from scratch.

The right person will be comfortable connecting systems, working with APIs, processing data, building simple dashboards, troubleshooting integrations, and helping turn internal ideas into reliable tools.

In short, we need someone who can also assist with other development, automation, reporting, and technical projects. If hired part-time, the role can increase to full-time.

• Build and maintain integrations using OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar AI APIs
• Connect websites, forms, CRMs, email systems, databases, and other platforms
• Create internal AI tools, workflows, and automations
• Work with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and third-party services
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards and business intelligence tools
• Organize, clean, and process data using SQL or similar tools
• Monitor AI applications for errors, performance, and API costs
• Troubleshoot and improve existing AI systems
• Document projects so other team members can understand and maintain them
• Assist with other development and automation projects as needed
• Clear written and spoken English
• Experience working with AI APIs in real applications
• Strong experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools
• Ability to deploy and maintain web applications or internal tools

The following experience is helpful, but not required:

• OpenAI API, Anthropic API, or Google Gemini API
• Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar automation platforms
• WordPress and website integrations
• Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, or Teams integrations
• CRM, lead intake, or customer service automation
• Railway, AWS, Azure, Heroku, or similar hosting platforms
• Experience working with agencies or professional service companies
• Remote position
• Approximately 15 hours per week to start for part-time or 35 hours for full-time
• Flexible schedule, with some overlap with U.S. Eastern Time
• 1099 Contractor position
• Potential to expand into a full-time role
• Target compensation of approximately $25 to $35 USD per hour, depending on experience
• Long-term opportunity for the right person
