PRT - Transitions Manager (Pension Risk Transfer)

What you will do

• Develop scheme-specific transition plans for a portfolio of pension risk transfer transactions.
• Manage end-to-end transition activity across timelines, risks, and milestones.
• Coordinate with trustees, advisers, brokers, administrators, and internal teams on data and benefit verification.
• Support business development activities, including tenders, presentations, site visits, and opportunity documentation.
• Lead internal workstreams, maintain transition management information, and provide updates to management.
• Complete post-transition reviews and help develop wider transition capability.

Requirements

• Pension qualification such as CII or PMI, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience in the pension risk transfer market.
• Experience administering or onboarding defined benefit pension schemes.
• Strong knowledge of defined benefit pension regulations, including wind-up requirements and interaction with PPF and FAS.
• Understanding of buy-in, buy-out, and wider pension de-risking activity.
• Strong project planning, prioritisation, delivery, communication, and stakeholder-influencing skills.

Nice to have

• PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification or equivalent project management experience.
