Economic Research - VP

Location: Milan, Italy (hybrid)

Annual base salary starting from: €65,000, plus variable remuneration based on role, business and individual performance.

What you will do

• Produce forecasts and scenario analyses for key macroeconomic and financial variables.
• Write short research notes and in-depth economic and financial reports.
• Communicate economic views and forecasts to colleagues and clients through presentations.
• Represent the bank in interviews with the press.
• Support ING departments and clients in Italy while collaborating with the Global Research team and international colleagues.
• Develop ideas and solutions, manage deadlines, and collaborate with stakeholders in a complex, fast-changing environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in economic research; applied economic research experience is a plus.
• Advanced university degree in economics, such as a Laurea Magistrale, Master’s degree, or PhD.
• Perfect Italian speaking and writing skills are required.
• Excellent oral and written English skills are required.
• Strong analytical, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, AI, data analysis, charts, and PowerPoint presentations; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
