Market Surveillance Investigator (Crypto)

What you will do

• Analyze surveillance alerts to detect and prevent market misconduct.
• Identify abnormal or aberrant activity, escalate concerns, and communicate findings to the Head of Market Surveillance and relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the design and development of surveillance models covering conduct risk, compliance policies, and market manipulation.
• Conduct ad hoc reviews of trading activity, identify high-risk behaviors, and apply judgment to resolve complex cases.
• Prepare meaningful analytical summaries for Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory, business, and market-structure changes to improve surveillance coverage and performance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience, ideally in financial-services compliance, a financial regulator, an exchange, a trading venue, or a similar environment.
• Good understanding of financial markets and trading, with strong functional knowledge of trade surveillance and exception-based monitoring.
• Substantial knowledge of financial and trading regulatory frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical skills, initiative, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing and complex environment and overcome obstacles.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of digital-asset products and market structure.
• Experience with Tableau, Python, or SQL.
