TL;DR
Infrastructure Operations Engineer, Asset Management (Batam) (AI cloud infrastructure): Managing the full lifecycle, operational governance, and performance of data centre hardware, GPU clusters, networking equipment, and supporting infrastructure with an accent on asset utilization, reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency. Focus on lifecycle forecasting, CMDB and inventory accuracy, multi-site optimization, financial controls, and process automation across the Batam data centre.
Location: Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia. This is an onsite role based at the Batam data centre.

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data centre hardware, GPU servers, networking equipment, racks, spares, and other infrastructure assets from procurement through decommissioning.
- Maintain accurate asset tracking and ensure CMDB records align with physical inventory across sites.
- Monitor asset utilization, performance metrics, and failure trends while driving capacity planning, redeployment, refresh cycles, and preventative maintenance.
- Manage asset governance, audits, inventory accuracy, capitalization, depreciation alignment, and reconciliation with Finance.
- Standardize regional asset management processes and implement tooling and automation for tracking and reporting.
- Identify operational risks and contribute to global asset management strategies, playbooks, and process improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data centre operations related to asset management or hardware lifecycle management.
- Experience managing high-value hardware assets, including GPU servers, networking equipment, storage, or data centre infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, CMDB systems, and inventory control best practices.
- Experience working across multi-site, regional, or global operational environments.
- Strong written and verbal English skills for ticket management, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders and colocation providers.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia.
