Location: Must be based in or able to commute to San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week on-site)

Salary: $270,000 – $290,000

What you will do

• Own and advance the security governance, strategy, and risk management programs.
• Build a repeatable process to turn diverse risk signals into a single, prioritized view for stakeholders.
• Manage AI and third-party risk management processes, delivering actionable insights.
• Establish a security steering committee to ensure alignment on risk tolerance and prioritization.
• Develop a multi-year security strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities.
• Prepare and present executive- and board-ready risk reports.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco 3 days per week.
• 8-12 years of experience in security, cyber risk, or technical security assurance.
• Demonstrated success in standing up and managing security risk programs end-to-end.
• Hands-on technical fluency in interpreting threat models, vulnerability findings, and incident data.
• Experience using AI or automation tools to improve technical security or risk workflows.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present risk narratives to senior leadership.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling GRC processes in a high-growth or consumer tech company.
• Third-party or vendor risk management experience.
• Quantitative risk methodology experience (e.g., FAIR).
