What you will do

• Scale the authentication platform to support 10x current user volume.
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices for user management.
• Develop reusable and scalable building blocks for other engineering teams across the company.
• Partner with stakeholder teams to evaluate requirements and optimize solutions for customer value.
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response.
• Enhance the platform experience for large Enterprise and Education customers.

Requirements

• Strong background in designing and operating large-scale Java backend systems.
• Firm grounding in CS fundamentals: concurrency, multithreading, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience in solution design and software architecture.
• Must be based in Sydney, Australia.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with authentication and authorization systems.
• Familiarity with SQL and DynamoDB.
